This year so far!! 2011 has been to busy to even blog!

In January my Grandpa Knifong passed away. This is a picture of all the Great Grandkids with Great Grandma. Quite a group! We had a nice family dinner together to celebrate his life and legacy.

In February Isabel turned 3! What a blessing she is to us. She is very excited to be a big sister! Later that month We had a special Valentine breakfast with cards and strawberries.

Colton bought some chicks in March. We also bought some laying hens. The kids are loving having some animals to take care of.

In April Colton had a piano recital. He has been playing for a little over a year and is really loving it. He has completed two books and is on to his third. Sarah is also teaching him how to accompany worship songs.

April was also Easter! We had my sisters family and some of Davids family over for dinner. It was rainy but we still had a wonderful day remembering Christ's sacrifice for us. This was my first time preparing an Eater dinner all myself! usually I have my mom... she will be moving back soon!

Happy Birthday to Clay in May! He turned 5 this year.

Our four baby was born in May! Noah Daniel was born on May 26th at 8lbs 11oz 19.5 inches long. We all are so happy he is here!

our little blessing of the year Noah Daniel :)

In June we were busy taking care of Turkey's. We raised 11 turkey for meat and a learning experience. Colton was due to play in a violin recital but got a terrible fever for 24hrs. just long enough to miss it....super disappointing!
In the Spring the boys also played soccer.

July brought our busiest month. We had a fun fourth of July bbq out at Farm Grandam and Grandpa's. Happy Birthday Colton on July 8th. We had a swimming party with the Swift cousin's.
Then he had a camp out with all the men and boys on the Knifong side. They had a fire and stayed out in tents. Then they got up and went fishing bright and early. after a good morning catch they headed to Deas for breakfast before going shooting. What a fun time for the boys and men!

the boys and I went with our good friend Anne for hike in the gorge. What beautiful weather and great company to enjoy the Creators works!

Papa Swift bought a boat in the spring. So we spent some time out on the Columbia river fishing and enjoying the summer.

To top the summer off we went to Camp Morrow! All the games, visiting, fishing, eating and fun you could want! now to start school back up and fall soccer. tune in next time for my blog catch up!

Merry Christmas 2010

This is the kids Christmas picture

We had a fun time Celebrating the holidays this year. Christmas Eve we spent with Davids Parents and went to their candle light service at church. Then we went home and shared a big pot of soup and the nativity story. The next morning we just stayed home and enjoyed our little family with some gifts and a big breakfast. The kids are at such fun ages. We got out some music and sang Christmas songs and read the Story of Jesus. The kids had a big portion they told us from memory. It was a special time of praise and worship to the KING! Then we headed out and celebrated the rest of the day with Davids whole Family. My Family got together the next weekend. The highlights of the time with the Knifongs was the special violins Grandpa hand-made all the little kids. We had a time of playing all together and enjoying the gift of Music! The 6 and under group of kids had such a fun time joining the older kids with their very own violins! So sweet! We spent three days together and enjoyed games, crafts, songs, scripture and tons of great food thanks to Grandma!

Trip to Grandma's house

the kids with Grandpa Knifong

the catch

The kids and I went up to see my Grandparents in Milton-Freewater the first week of December. We had a great visit with them. It was the last time I got to see my Grandpa Knifong before he passed away. He was really fun to visit with and enjoyed playing with the kids. We shared good meals and good memories with them that I will cherish the time with Grandpa in my heart. A couple weeks later Grandpa quite eating and doing well. We had some snow and Colton even got to go fishing with Uncle Ernie and Farm Grandpa. What a great trip.

fall fun

We had a fun fall with school and soccer and times to dress up. Colton played outdoor and indoor soccer this year. It has been great to keep him busy and run some energy out. Clay played just outdoor and enjoyed watching his brother. Isabel has really been dressing up a ton with the boys. She cracks us up playing with guns and being Annie Oaklie. She is so girly that we all get the giggles when she takes a pistol and shoots it with the boys. The kids planted pumpkins with Grandpa and Grandma this summer and they were so excited to put out there own home-grown pumpkins for display. We got some harvest from the garden for quite a while this fall. Everything came on so late this year! Ok thats the recap of fall for my records....
