Isabel turned two! (feb. 7th)

our tiny sweetie turned two on February 7th. She has been such a joy to our family. Isabel really brings a kind of girly feeling to our house and we all laugh at the sweet little things she does each day. She is very happy and has some qualities that are really different from the boys. she is much quieter and even a little shy. she loves to be held whenever I have a chance. she likes things to be clean and wiped up when she eats (very different from the boys, they are the messiest eaters!). Isabel was great to potty train and can even dress herself! here are some fun pictures of her at her party and at the zoo the next day.

Meek

Websters 1858 dictionary defines "meek" as "mild of temper, soft, gentle not easily provoked or irritated." Anyone who had spent time with me know's that I am not a soft gentle sort of person naturally. I would descibe myself as a high energy, spirited, loud at times and welllll not very meek.... so what is this all about you might be saying? I have felt the Lord pushing me to become a meek and more mild person in some areas of my life. LIKE with my children and homeschooling and mothering and being a wife and .... which is most of my time everyday. this will be something that can only come from the Lord himself and that is were my heart is. I desire to be a work in progress Lord, learning and seeking the wisdom you will give to me. I am just one small mother and I am out numbered everyday, but I trust in you Lord and seek to do your will and follow you all of my days. Matt. 11:29 says "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

the New year

wow is it really 2010? I am in total shock that another year has passed. it Just isn't the same the older you get. I mean really why is it that each year just gets faster and faster. STOP! no really STOP! I am being pulled in so many different directions at the moment my head hurts. I really can barley sleep at night because of all I have to do. I am first and foremost committed to my duties at home. Isabel and Clay are such cute ages. they are like sponges. everything you do and say to them they just soak it all up. Homeschooling has now become my favorite and least stressful thing to do(CANT SAY IT WAS A YEAR AGO). Colton is learning so much and is loving it as well. we are really growing with our church and being a part of a small group. that has opened up some good opportunities to connect with some great people and Gods word. David and I are starting a business from home together and are having to moving to plan B since plan A of working his day job is not going well. we are really excited about this opportunity and have really felt the Lords timing in this. well here's to a bright and productive 2010! I really don't want 2009 back, that year was just too much to do over again. So here's to living in the present and seeking what God has in store for us this year. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary. so lets get to work!
