Soccer camp and a shooting!

(I took this the first day we went)
This is where the kids and I were this morning. It was one of the most frightening experience I have ever been in with my kids. I thank God for His protection and provision over my babies. I was about 50 yards away from this whole scene. I wittnessed the whole scene and will be replaying in my mind for the next few days I'm sure.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A man fired a shotgun at employees during a robbery before employees tackled him and held him for police Tuesday morning, police said.
Two armed gunman entered the Tapatia Market in the 18300 block of Southeast Stark Street just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, police said. They demanded money and employees handed over an undisclosed amount and the men fled from the rear entrance to the store.
Employees and customers chased the gunmen and as they reached the rear loading area one of the gunmen fired at an employee with a shotgun, police said. The employee wasn't injured and he wrestled the shotgun away from the robber with help from several other people and they held the man until officers arrived, police said.
The second robber managed to get out and ran to a white four-door sedan that was described as either a Honda or Nissan and drove east on Southeast Stark, police said.

A summer soccer camp was being conducted nearby at Portland Lutheran School and parents and children heard the gunshot and watched as the second robber ran from the store, police said. Camp coordinators quickly gathered the parents and children until it was safe, police said.
The robber who escaped is described as a Hispanic of light-skinned man in his 20s wearing a long-sleeve shirt, dark pants and a blue baseball cap with the letters "BB" on the front, police said.
There was also a third man driving the vehicle but there is no description of the driver.

Our first HIKE

We finally decided to get out and try a hike with the kids. I Don't think we have been on a hike since having kids? they all did so great. the boys made it all the way to the top and back down with out falling or whining about how long it was. It was a fun adventure for them. they couldn't believe how high up we were! Isabel was a good little girl and only threw her pacifier one time over the edge. enjoy the pictures!

we made it to the top!

We made it back to the bottom!

Isabel was tired from the hike up the falls!

look MOM!

So I was cleaning like crazy last Monday for some people to come and look at our house. by the end of the day I was almost done and had sent the boys outside so I could finish the floor with no one on it. then David comes home and calls me outside and tells me to take a look in the flower beds the boys had planted some flowers for me! I had just spent some time planting some flowers and weeding to make it look good and now the boys had dug in IT! my first reaction was "are you kidding can't they stay out of stuff!" but when I came out I had two little boys looking up smiling saying " momma look at the pretty flowers we picked, we didn't want them to die so we put them with your other flowers!" so the irritated feeling disappeared and I just had to laugh and know that they had a sweet thought, BUT next time you will ask right BOYS?!
