field trip

our outing was to the zoo on Tuesday. it was great weather and the kids have not gone to the zoo since Colton's Birthday last year. we had a great day. Isabel was really enjoying all the people and animals. her favorite was the elephants!

Baseball season

run home!

on first

ready to run home

his cousin Wyatt and buddy Kenneth

he made some good plays

Colton has started his first season of baseball (teeball). he had his first game last weekend and did a great job. he needs some help batting off a tee, but his first base skills were sharp. I think he got 4 people out on first. he can hit when you pitch to him great, but the tee is just in the way! hopefully that will get easier for him soon. He is on a team with all his little buddy's from the Sandy area and is loving every moment!

Wolverines

I have often wondered what makes kids say such funny things. the other day we had a repair man here working on our fridge and i over hear the boys in the living room wrestling.

"Clay lets be wolverines and fight" says Colton

"OK and I'm a mean one" says Clay

"Clay Its Mating season!" says Colton and then suddenly starts to scream!
(wonder what the repair guy thought)

"Clay you can't bite!!"

I guess Clay didn't like the sound of Coltons idea! oh gosh I laughed so hard! To Colton defense he knows two males fight during Mating season over the females. so there you have it, never let your brother try to talk you into playing wolverines!

taking a break from the blog

This is a picture that I took at my house at Christmas. It was the last time I saw Kherington.
well as you can tell I have been taking a break and I'm not sure when I will start up again. I am having a hard time thinking or writing anything. I can't stop feeling thoughts of sadness and sorrow for my sister and her family. For now I am going to put my thoughts and feelings with my family and reach for the peace from our Father above.

Psalm 139:13-16

For you created my inmost being;

You knit me together in my mothers womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Your works are wonderful,

I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.

When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

your eyes saw my unformed body.

All the days ordained for me were written in your book Before one of them came to be.

Our girl with a Curl

With a heavy heart I pass along some info that will be in the paper this week. Thank you for your prayers and concern during this time.

Kherington Rosa Miller was whisked to heaven early March 1, 2009 as she slept. She was born August 13th, 2008 in Portland, Oregon to Alex & Regina Miller. Kherington enjoyed listening to violin music, relaxing in a warm bath, and socializing with groups of people. All that knew her admired her courage and strength. Mommy and Daddy will miss your smile first thing in the morning, until we meet you in heaven again. We thank God for the time He gave us to take care of you.
Kheri is survived by her parents and three big brothers: Seth, Christian, and Rhett.
A memorial fund has been set up at US Bank.
A celebration of her life will be held at Salem Evangelical Church on Friday, March 6th at 11:00am.
